If I use a body building shampoo, will it decrease the effectiveness of my conditioner?

My understanding is that body building shampoo leaves something behind on your hair. So, wouldn’t that keep my conditioner from getting on my hair. I want to have body and soft hair.

The roots because it weighs down your hair and you loose volume.

For colour treated hair too do this combo and then you dont want it works well.
For colour treated hair with volume you should get volumizing conditioner and it works well.
